Date Retention

When copying, pasting or duplicating a document within a matter, you can choose whether to retain the original Created and Modified dates or update them to the current date.

Document Numbering in Folder

You can now choose to display the number of documents within a folder, including those in subfolders.

To enable or disable this option, open the ellipsis menu within the matter, navigate to Folder Count, and select “Show.” When enabled, the document count will be displayed next to the folders. You can also select “Include subfolders in Count” to include documents stored in subfolders. Selecting the option again will disable it. This setting will be applied to all matters on a user-level.

Export Documents as PDF's with Password Protection

You can now export documents as secured PDFs with restricted editing.

To do this, right-click the document and select Export Document as PDF. In the window that appears, choose to secure the document and (optionally) enter a custom password. This allows you to control or later remove editing restrictions on the PDF. Setting a custom password will not prevent the document from being opened or viewed.

Default Email Folder

You can now set a folder as the default location for all email-related content within a matter.

To do this, right-click a folder and select “Default Email Folder.” The folder icon will update to indicate it has been set as the default. All new emails associated with the matter will be saved to this folder going forward. Existing emails will not be moved automatically. This will apply firm wide for the matter.

Extract Multiple Email Attachments to Matter

You can now extract multiple email attachments to a matter in a single action.

When an email contains multiple attachments, hold CTRL and click to select multiple attachments, then right-click and choose “Extract x Attachments to Matter.”

Matter AI Layout Filler

A new Matter AI Layout Filler feature is now available to help populate fields within tables using information from the correspondence in the matter.

When working within a table (such as a Conveyancing details), select “Populate from Correspondence” to have AI scan the correspondence items within the matter and automatically fill in relevant fields. Any fields that cannot be confidently populated will be left blank for manual completion.

Swap Client and Other Side Card

A new "Swap Client and Other Side Cards" option is now available in the right-click context menu for client cards. This allows you to quickly swap the cards when needed.
