Built by lawyers, for lawyers: the products reshaping how Australian firms’ practice

No two practice areas work the same way. The matters are different, the courts are different, the deadlines are different. Software built for lawyers should reflect that.

That’s why LEAP has introduced dedicated teams of specialist solicitors, legal researchers, database designers and product managers who focus on a single area of law. They’re not building generic tools and hoping they fit. They’re building products that reflect the actual workflows of Australian practitioners, jurisdiction by jurisdiction.

Here’s a look at the products already making a difference for LEAP clients, and what’s coming next:

LEAP Personal Injury
Compensate — damages made easy

Compensate has been built to reduce manual work, minimise calculation errors and simplify a process that has traditionally relied on spreadsheets, calculators and actuarial handbooks.

Smarter, more reliable calculations

With Compensate, you can calculate damages with confidence. Built for personal injury lawyers, it automatically applies accepted legal and actuarial principles, including superannuation and past care rates, multipliers and deferrals. This helps to reduce manual errors, rework and reliance on spreadsheets or external calculators.

Schedules of Damages in minutes

Compensate streamlines one of the most time-consuming parts of a personal injury matter by taking you from inputs to a ready-to-use Schedule of Damages in minutes. Particulars of loss entered in the app are automatically exported with the damages claimed into a formatted Word Schedule of Damages, ready to review, edit and finalise.

Seamless integration with LEAP

Compensate pulls key details directly from the file, including the plaintiff’s date of birth and gender, to calculate their life expectancy and years to the statutory age of retirement. It also uses the incident date to calculate weeks since the incident.

LEAP Estates
Assets & Liabilities — estate administration, simplified

Managing the assets and liabilities of an estate just became a lot simpler. The new Assets & Liabilities app gives estates lawyers a single, structured place to record and track everything in an administration matter — then generate correspondence and produce a summary aligned to judicial portal requirements. It’s the first of several estates-specific tools on the way, including upcoming EstatePlanner for AI-assisted document generation.

Settlement Solution App — a better way to settle

Settlement day is high-stakes and time-sensitive. The new Settlement Solution application modernises the process with improved workflows, reduced manual effort and fewer errors, so property lawyers and conveyancers can move from calculation to settlement with confidence. With additional AI prompts for contract reviews and post-exchange letters, LEAP clients are saving time and improving customer experience.
